Roger Kacou (b.1953) is Senior Vice President Africa. A native of Cote d’Ivoire and a French citizen, Roger holds a Master of Science degree in Economics from the University of Abidjan, Cote d’Ivorie as well as a Master of Professional Studies from the Cornell School of Hotel Administration, Ithaca, New York.
Most recently, Roger was in charge of all hotel and leisure developments of the Blue City Company in Oman. He has a long tenure with the InterContinental Hotel Group in numerous international leadership roles, including Director Operations of Africa, Regional Vice President Operations of East Africa and Regional Vice President Operations of West Africa.
Roger has also held General Manager appointments in various destinations in Africa. He started his career with InterContinental as Assistant Financial Controller of the InterContinental New York, followed by two years in Geneva, Switzerland.
Roger has a black belt in Tae Kwando and currently resides in Cairo with his wife, with whom he has four grown up children.
