Richard Oehler

Richard Oehler has been Senior Vice President Operational Standards and Systems at Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts since June 2006, covering quality assurance & customer satisfaction, operational standards & systems and information technology.

The Swiss-French graduated at the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) and holds an economics degree.

He gathered experience in various operational positions: as Cost Controller and then Assistant F&B Manager at the Zürich Swissôtel, as pre-opening Deputy General Manager at Conference Hotel in Switzerland, as Head of Hotel & Gastronomy for a consulting firm in Liechtenstein, as Director of Human Resources for a Swiss Hotel company in Zürich.

In 1989 he was appointed Corporate Director Human Resources at Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts. From 1994 to 1998 he headed the Mövenpick Resort Luxor/Egypt as General Manager, and then returned as Director of Operations & Pre-Opening to the head offices of the Swiss hotel chain.

He subsequently worked as Director of Quality Assurance & Customer Satisfaction, since 1999 as Senior Vice President Human Resources and then was appointed to his current position.
