Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts guarantees that the rates quoted on "Mövenpick Channels" (moevenpick-hotels.com, Mövenpick Central Reservation Offices (toll-free numbers) and the hotel direct), will not be underbid by another qualifying offer available at the time of booking. The guest must have a confirmed reservation and reservation number. For a claim to be valid under the Best Available Rate Guarantee, it must satisfy all Terms and Conditions and be submitted through the Claims Processing Procedures.

The Guarantee applies, if the lower qualifying "comparison rate" is found within 24 hours from the time of the original/first booking and a claim is submitted, also within 24 hours.

Our Best Available Rate Guarantee does not apply to the following:

  • Hotel Carcani by Mövenpick Gastronomy
  • Hotel BenjamInn by Mövenpick Gastronomy
  • Hotel Wächter by Mövenpick Gastronomy
  • Hotel Touring by Mövenpick Gastronomy
  • Panorama Motel Wörther See by Mövenpick Gastronomy
  • Wald- und Golfhotel Hünxe by Mövenpick Gastronomy
  • reservation channels other than specified (our website, our Central Reservation Offices or the hotels directly)
  • rate differences that are due to different currency exchange rates used by Mövenpick channels and the "comparison site"
  • comparison rates" on web sites where the hotel brand and the specific hotel are not known until the booking is made (so-called "opaque"-sites)
  • "comparison rates" on web sites or offers that "package" travel, entertainment and hotel, such as: flight +hotel stay, car rental + hotel stay and others ("dynamic- packaging"-sites)
  • "comparison rates" on web sites that "auction" hotelstays
  • "comparison rates" with different payment options than payment upon departure, i.e. voucher payment, payment with credit facility
  • unpublished rates – i.e. "comparison rates" that have been negotiated by the hotel/Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts with corporations, membership associations (such as UBS Key Club, ADAC, and others), government rates, travel agency/travel industry/employee rates, group and meeting rates, extended stay rates, direct mail solicitations and electronic mail solicitations.
  • websites/portals/webpages that do not have online-booking-facility, such as information sites, or sites that only confirm bookings after contacting the hotel first ("booking request" - sites).
  • countries/areas where prohibited by law.

If the "comparison rate" is found through Mövenpick Channels, the guest must reserve this in addition to the original reservation, so that the Best Available Rate Guarantee applies (confirmed reservation and confirmation number). Where the claim is valid and verified, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts will cancel the booking at the higher rate at no charge and adjust the lower rate accordingly. If the claim cannot be verified, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts will cancel the second booking at no charge.

If the lower "comparison rate" is offered by a "non-Mövenpick channel", no booking needs to be made for the guarantee to apply. Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is not responsible for any cancellation charges in this case. In order to claim the guarantee you just have to provide sufficient information about the name of the channel (such as URL), and if possible, send a copy/screen-shot of the Webpage.

Qualifying Comparison Offers
Both rates, the rates booked through Mövenpick channels and the "comparison rate" found must be

  • for the same arrival date, same hotel, same number of guests, same roomtype (category, size, bedding, view)
  • with the same inclusions (tax, VAT, service charges, Food & Beverage items, other inclusive items)
  •  at the same booking conditions (minimum length of stay, minimum advance
  • booking, advance purchase, deposit, change- and cancellation policies or other conditions)

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts may modify or cancel the guarantee at any time without prior notice. Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is excluding the right to take legal proceedings with regards to the guarantee.

If more than one rate are published on our website for the same hotel, reservation request and room type, the Best Available Rate Guarantee applies for the lowest published rate only.

Processing a claim
A claim submittal form is available on this website. To submit this form, all required fields need to be filled out and the 'submit' button clicked.

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts will process the claim within 24 hours after receipt, Mondays to Fridays, 08.00 - 18.00 CET.

If the claim is found valid, the guest will receive a confirmation at the rate of 50% of the lower room rate for a maximum of 3 nights. The hotel will be informed accordingly. In order to make sure that the claim can be processed before arrival in the hotel, the claim must be filed at least 24 hours prior to 1800 on check-in date.

If the claim is found to be invalid, the guest will be informed immediately, with the reason for the rejection.
