Mövenpick Resort & Spa El Gouna is following a sustainable management policy. Throughout all our activities we take the preservation and protection of natural resources into account. The "Green Team" together with all team members has spent considerable time benchmarking the hotel's energy and water consumption, waste production and disposal as well as implementing an integrated environmental and social policy.

The Resort has been awarded with various awards, including the prestigious Green Globe award, the Travelife Gold certification as well as the Green Star 5* Hotel award. Several European tour operators have also awarded the hotel for its environmental management. 

The Resort asks the active participation of all guests to support achieving the goals by cutting water consumption, re-using towels and linen, using the electricity power saving device in the rooms, avoiding littering and protecting the marine life of the Red Sea.

The resort is celebrating a monthly Green Day with special activities for the guests to participate, such a tour behind the scenes giving an insight into the Resort's environmentally friendly operation, a beach clean up, special activities for the children and a Guest Cocktail with a "sustainable" touch.
