Central Amsterdam Hotel near Airport
A 4 star hotel located in the heart of the vibrant city of Amsterdam, alongside the water's edge, the Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre is the most easily accessed hotel by all means of transport. It is located just within walking distance from the Central Station to which we are linked by a regular free shuttle service (appointment needs to be made at our concierge desk: +31 (0)20 519 1213).
Shuttle service from Amsterdam Central Station: Please make your shuttle reservation at the concierge desk. Our mini-van is a white Ford Transit for maximum 8 persons, with luggage space for maximum 8 persons.
If you could be so kind to give us a call (+31 20 519 1213) when you know your exact arrival time at the railway station, we will be able to pick you up approximately 5 and 35 minutes after the hour. All upon availability.
From the main hall of the station, walk in the direction of platform 15 and follow the signs Noord/Boot. Exit the building and walk past the construction site. Opposite the boat departures, before crossing the street, you will find a small parking zone for cars. The shuttle is a white Ford Transit and has Mövenpick signs on the front and sides.
Please note: Due to construction work on the north side of the Central Station, the hotel shuttle will not run after 7.30 pm until mid 2012.
A tram stop is situated in front of the hotel and there is a large secured car park underneath the hotel. The car park is operated by local authorities and is charged. It is also possible to park your car at the P+R Zeeburg parking at the other side of the Piet Hein tunnel. Please download our "Alternative parking facilites" factsheet for more information.
By car: Take exit S114 from the Eastern Highway (Ringweg) A10. At the end of the Piet Hein tunnel, turn right towards Central Station. Follow the signs P-Piet Hein / City Centre.
The Piet Hein parking garage offers electric car drivers the possibility to recharge their car through the charge points available.
By tram: Take tram 26 (direction IJburg) from Central Station and get off at the first stop, named "Muziekgebouw/Bimhuis".
By bike: follow the Ruyterkade in Eastern direction from Central Station and park your bike in the free bike parking underneath the hotel. From P+R Zeeburg, follow the Zuiderzeeweg and turn right on the Zeeburgerdijk. Turn right on Th. K. van Lohuizenlaan and turn left on the Zeeburgerpad. Turn right on the Panamalaan and keep following this road onto the Piet Heinkade.
From Amsterdam Airport Schiphol:
Public Transport: Direct train to Central Station (approximately 20 minutes), 25-30 minutes by taxi.
Taxi-E: these taxis are driving 100% electric cars equipped with free WiFi access and a tablet pc. All cars will apply by-the-meter tariffs with a cap on the Schiphol rides (max. EUR 40 per ride). Pick-up at the Schiphol Meeting Point is possible as well.
By car: take the A4 highway towards Amsterdam. Take the A10 Eastern Highway (Ringweg) and take the exit S114. For further directions, please see above.
