Aburi botanical garden
Overlooking the coastal plain, 22 miles (35 km) north-east of Accra, the Aburi botanical garden is one of the most beautiful and fascinating places in Ghana. Officially opened in 1890, Aburi botanical garden covers an area of nearly 160 acres (65 hectares), 30 acres (12 hectares) of which have been developed into a formal garden. Its unique ambience of tranquility offers a relaxing and serene environment for nature enthusiasts.
